Dana & Arun - St. Sampson's Church & St. Pierre Park Hotel

Whatever the weather, it is always a good day for a wedding! So it proved for Dana & Arun’s lovely day recently.

It was a tight squeeze in the hotel room with everyone getting ready, but that was no problem and everyone was ready in time. What was a bit more nerve racking was the mass of closed roads and traffic jams on the way to the church! I did arrive at the church in time, Dana and her bridesmaids just a little after the scheduled time.

Rev. Adrian Datta conducted a lovely ceremony, a long way from his normal church at St. Peter’s!

St. Sampson’s is Guernsey’s oldest parish church and always has a certain charm.

Conveniently the persistent rain and the near gale force winds had eased as we exited the church, this allowed for the group shots to take place against the church doorway as planned.

We went straight to the St. Pierre Park Hotel for the reception, where the Fontaine room had been beautifully decorated.

We grabbed a few outdoor pictures before the evening guests arrived and the dancing started.

Music was provided by The Big Band, not just big in name but also big on talent! They kept the dance floor packed.

Congratulations to Dana & Arun!
